Heat Pump Replacement in Palm Bay and Brevard
Heat pump 12 to 18 years old? Compressor failed? Repeated repair bills starting to feel like a third of a new system? It might be replacement time. We will walk you through the actual math, not just pitch you a system.
When Replacement Beats Repair
Rule of thumb: if the repair quote is more than half the cost of a new system AND the system is older than 10 years AND the refrigerant is the older R-22, replacement is almost always the right call. Younger systems with a clear single-component failure (capacitor, contactor) are repair, not replacement. We lay out the math honestly so you can decide.
What changes between repair and replacement: the manufacturer warranty resets, efficiency steps up to current SEER2 ratings, the air handler and line set are new so future leaks and biology issues reset, and the parts warranty starts over.
Every full replacement quote we write includes: new outdoor heat pump, new indoor air handler, new copper refrigerant line set sized for the new equipment, new condensate drain run, electrical disconnect inspection and replacement as needed, ductwork modifications if the existing duct is undersized or leaking, permit, manufacturer warranty registration, haul-away of old equipment, and runtime commissioning. We do not separate any of those into surprise line items at the end.
