Mini Split Maintenance in Palm Bay and Brevard
Mini splits last longer and run more efficiently when the indoor head is clean and the drain is clear. We tune up every common brand and offer membership-style plans for ongoing care.
What is Included in a Mini Split Tune-Up
Indoor head: pull the front cover and filter, wash the filter, deep-clean the blower wheel if needed, inspect the indoor coil, flush the condensate drain pan and pump, test the drain run. Outdoor unit: wash the condenser coil, check refrigerant pressures, verify the disconnect and line-set connections, look for early signs of salt-air corrosion on coastal installs. Controls: verify the remote sync, run any pending codes.
Indoor head cleaning matters more on mini splits than on central systems because the head sits inside the conditioned space. A fouled blower wheel circulates biology and odors. We see this most in homes with pets, in damp coastal builds, and in mini splits installed in bathrooms or kitchens.
If you have two systems in the home (a central system plus a mini split, or two mini splits), our two-system maintenance plan covers both at member-benefit pricing.
Why People Skip Mini Split Maintenance
Drain pump fails silently
First sign is water dripping down the wall under the head. Clean drain + working pump prevents this.
Blower wheel fouls
Biology grows on the wheel. Air smells musty. Cleaning restores airflow and removes the source.
Refrigerant slow-leaks at the flare
Slow leaks lose efficiency before they trip a code. Annual pressure check catches them.
Salt-air corrosion on coastal installs
Beachside boards and contactors fail faster if not protected. Annual coil rinse extends life materially.
Indoor coil ices over
Caused by low charge or low airflow. Tune-up catches both before they become a no-cool call.
